Florida AHCA Announces Additional Mental Health Support Opportunities

May 20, 2021

May 20, 2021 by Mariah Wise

On May 20, 2021, the Florida  Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) announced a toll-free helpline for immediate short-term mental health support and counseling services. This helpline gives approximately 85,000 eligible Medicaid members not enrolled in a Medicaid health plan access to on-demand mental health services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at no cost.

Kepro is partnering with the Agency for Health Care Administration to operate the new helpline and provide short-term counseling sessions. The helpline will also offer short-term support, long-term treatment options and emergent services.
